I was so humbled to take part in the Virtual Eco Fair that took place 4-6 June, 2020. We had a chance to watch many useful and interesting videos, covering different topits about how to be more sustainable and eco -friendly in our every day lives.
I ran a practical session ‘How to upcycle your clothes and why is it important. During the session, I mentioned simple steps that you can follow to start upcycling. In addition, I also gave examples of items that mostly anyone would have at home and can use to create beautiful and unique items. At the same time, when we re-style or upcycle our clothes, the lifespan of the garments can be extended by nine months, reducing the carbon, waste and water footprints by around 20-30% each.
I love sharing my ideas and knowledge with others, love inspiring! I teach how to upcycle and mend as well sell my unique creations online. If you would like to know more about my course or my collection, check the links below, or subscribe for more ideas and inspiration in the sidebar. And enjoy watching the recording!
We have enough clothing on the planet right now to clothe the next 6 (Six!) generations of the human race. (Patrick Grant, BBC). So why not to use what we have and have fun while doing that?!
