How to Upcycle and Why it is Important? Virtual Eco Fair Video Session
I was so humbled to take part in the Virtual Eco Fair that took place 4-6 June, 2020. We had a chance to watch many useful and interesting videos, covering different topits about how to be more sustainable and eco -friendly in our every day lives.
I ran a practical session ‘How to upcycle your clothes and why is it important. During the session, I mentioned simple steps that you can follow to start upcycling. In addition, I also gave examples of items that mostly anyone would have at home and can use to create beautiful and unique items. At the same time, when we re-style or upcycle our clothes, the lifespan of the garments can be extended by nine months, reducing the carbon, waste and water footprints by around 20-30% each.
